Within the framework of the Umid-Babek project, which has an important place in the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the work on the project "Acceleration of production at the Umid-1 Stationary Seabed (SDO)" continues successfully.

SOCAR told APA-Economics that the project implemented by the company is one of the first projects in the company's history based on international experience, applying innovative technologies and modern equipment.

The main goal of the project is to remove the constraints of the Umid-1 foundation transportation system and increase production by drilling new wells.

According to preliminary estimates, the total reserves of the Umid gas field in the Caspian Sea are 200 billion cubic meters.

cubic meters of gas and 40 mln.

tons of condensate.

Taking into account the restrictions on the current transport lines from the field, 3 mln.

cubic meters of gas and 470 tons (3,600 barrels) of condensate are produced and transported to the Dashgil terminal through SOCAR's technological system.

After the implementation of the project "Acceleration of production from the Umid-1 Stationary Seabed (SSO)", the daily safe gas production will reach 8.1 mln.

cubic meters, and condensate production is expected to increase to 1,200 tons (9,000 barrels).

This project, implemented since 2019 and implemented by the Umid Babek Operating Company (UBOC) in our country, is one of the most important stages in a large area covering about 100 km from the Umid field to the Sangachal Main Facilities (SBQ). part was successfully completed.

Within the framework of the project "Acceleration of production from Umid-1 SDO" important work is being done, each of which is of great importance.

Thus, the reconstruction of Umid-1 SDO, the construction of a 54-km-long 20-inch (500 mm) underwater transmission line and its approximately 3.7 km onshore section, the construction of a gas transmission line from the Dashgil-2 terminal, Sangachal Bash Work on the connection point of SOCAR's gas transportation system at the facilities (SBG) is continuing according to schedule.

At present, the work carried out at Umid-1 SDO and onshore is nearing completion.

Construction of the submarine section of the Umid-1 gas pipeline to the coast began in April this year with the use of the Israfil Huseynov pipeline.

One of the most difficult goals of the project, the construction of a 2.1 km pipeline close to land, has already been completed.

To achieve this goal, UBOC's professional project management team, together with the staff of the contractor BOSS PIC, has successfully overcome all difficulties.

In a short period of time, a protective earth dam (dam) about 2.2 km long and 15 m wide was built.

Relevant government agencies, local and international subcontractors (SOCAR Neftgaztikinti Trust, SOCAR Dalgic, Wood Group, Jan De Nul, Saipem, Oceaneering) participated in the project.

The next stage of work has already begun and the connection of accelerated production from the Umid-1 SDO to the country's general gas supply network is expected to be successfully completed.
