Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzayev paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden on May 18-19.

During the visit, meetings were held with Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde, Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Andreas Norlen and Deputy Foreign Minister Magnus Nilsson, the Foreign Ministry's Press Service told APA.

During the meetings, they stressed the importance of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Sweden with a series of events in both capitals, discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations and exchanged views on post-conflict processes in the South Caucasus.

The roundtable with leaders and researchers from the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, the Stockholm Institute for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) focused on post-conflict normalization processes in the South Caucasus and the role that international partners can play.

During the visit, a concert and diplomatic reception of the Isfar Sarabski Jazz Trio was held at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Sweden and with the participation of Deputy Foreign Ministers Fariz Rzayev and Magnus Nilsson.
