In April of this year, the speed of incoming Internet traffic in the networks of mobile operators in Azerbaijan amounted to 32.52 Mbit / s.

APA-Economics estimates that this figure increased by 7% compared to March, according to Ookla's Speedtest Global Index.


In April of this year, the speed of outgoing traffic on the country's mobile networks increased by 13% compared to March and amounted to 10.14 Mbit / s.


It should be noted that the input and output speeds of mobile traffic in the world were 30.75 Mbit / s and 8.78 Mbit / s, respectively.

According to the results of April, Azerbaijan ranked 57th among 142 countries on this indicator, moving up 6 places.

The top three leaders in terms of mobile internet speeds are the UAE (134.48 Mbit / s), Qatar (129.36 Mbit / s) and Norway (116.17 Mbit / s).


According to the rating, in April of this year, the input speed of fixed broadband Internet traffic in Azerbaijan was 20.28 Mbit / s, and the output speed was 21.9 Mbit / s.

Compared to March, the input speed increased by 1.7% and the output speed increased by 3.5%.

According to the results of April this year, in the ranking of fixed Internet speeds, Azerbaijan moved up one place among 181 countries and ranked 118th.


The top three countries with the fastest stable Internet in the world were Singapore - 207.61 Mbit / s, Chile - 200.01 Mbit / s and Thailand - 189.64 Mbit / s.


In April of this year, the average speed of input and output traffic of the global fixed Internet was 63.46 Mbit / s and 27.06 Mbit / s, respectively.
