Russia's Central Bank has allowed the sale of foreign currency in cash.

APA reports that the Central Bank of Russia announced this.

It is said that from May 20, individuals will be able to sell all foreign currency in banks without restrictions, except for the euro and the dollar.

The procedure will last until September 9.

The financial institution explained the permission for the unlimited sale of currencies other than the US dollar and the euro by the presence of foreign banknotes in the banks.

Previously, these restrictions are applicable to all types of cash currency, the Central Bank said.
