The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science Nikolay Denkov, the Minister of Innovation and Growth Daniel Lorer, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Science Irena Anastasova, the Chairman of BAS Academician Julian Revalski, the Rector of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohri Ohri". Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov, scientists and university professors.

The European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Maria Gabriel, addressed a video address to Bulgarian scientists.

The achievements of scientists show us that in Bulgaria science is alive in all its areas and it has something to give to society and education, to our students, pupils and young people.

For the first time, the Pythagorean awards ceremony was organized for the first time in 2009 and has been going on without interruption for 14 years, said the Minister of Education and Science, Academician Nikolay Denkov.

The winners in the different categories received diplomas, statuettes and a cash prize of BGN 8,000 each.
