The long-standing problem of stray dogs in Kosovo seems to be coming to an end soon.

This is because the Government of Kosovo at the end of June is expected to approve the national strategy for addressing this issue.

This is what the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, announced at today's session of the Assembly, after being asked by the MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Besim Muzaqi, when a concrete solution to this problem will be found.

"This is one of the main concerns in recent days.

We as a minister issued a decision on February 16 to form a working group to draft a national strategy.

At the end of June, we will have approved in the Government of Kosovo the national strategy for stray dogs ", declared Krasniqi.

The drafting of the national strategy for the management of stray dogs was a promise of Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

He had said that the Government will also seek assistance from actors, foreign partners so that financial means are not a problem for the implementation of sustainable and humane measures and projects for the management of the dog population, so that Kosovo as soon as possible. no longer be street wanderers.
