My wife's father was born in Kumanovo, my wife's grandfather was born in Kriva Palanka.

We all have personal documents of our state, Northern Macedonia.

I will not comment on my wife's ancestors ", said today the Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski after yesterday's announcement in the Bulgarian media that his wife was Bulgarian.

The news was also announced by some of the Macedonian media.

The Bulgarian media, Bugarsi Trud, which claims to have documents, says that Elena Kovacevska's father and grandfather, namely Mitko Stanojkovski and Stanojko Stanojkovski, are Bulgarians, born in the municipality of Bosilegrad.

The e-mail of the Bulgarian newspaper "Trud" contains a copy of a document according to which Elena Kovacevska, the wife of the current Prime Minister, Dimitar Kovacevski, is Bulgarian.

"Consultations with persons who know in detail the process of obtaining Bulgarian citizenship, resulted in the document containing all the necessary attributes to be true," the Bulgarian media wrote.

"Bugarski Trud", among other things, comments that Kovacevski has stated that he has raised the issue of human rights, including small ethnic groups, to a high level and that regardless of ethnicity, the Prime Minister has stated that Macedonia offers equal opportunities for professional development.
