The Ambassador and Representative of Northern Macedonia to the United Nations in New York, Lubomir Danailor Frckoski, presented his credentials to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

During the conversation with the UN Secretary General, Guterres, Ambassador Frckoski informed him about the most important strategic priorities in the foreign policy of Northern Macedonia and the current situation around the country's EU integration process, especially after the signing and entry into force of the so-called agreement, the Prespa Agreement.

He reaffirmed Macedonia's overall stance in support of the work of the UN and the UN Secretary General.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres acknowledged the readiness and demonstration of the political will of the Government of Northern Macedonia through dialogue and compromise to resolve the most complex and sensitive bilateral issues, in the interest of its national priorities, but also for the stability and development of the country, appreciating the courage to sign the Prespa Agreement.

Secretary-General Guterres also highlighted the current contribution of Northern Macedonia as an active subject in the work of the UN and the degree of co-operation with UN bodies and agencies.
