Roli's parents have saved five lives by donating her organs.

New Delhi :

Roli Prajapati, 6, of Noida, was shot dead by unknown assailants, after which her parents have given new life to five people by donating their daughter's organs.

With this, Roli has become the youngest organ donor of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. 

Roli was taken to the hospital after being shot in the head, where she fell into a coma due to serious injuries.

After this, Roli was referred to AIIMS Delhi.

After several unsuccessful attempts to save the girl, the doctors declared Roli brain dead. 

Dr Deepak Gupta, Senior Neuro Surgeon of AIIMS said, “Roli was a six-and-a-half year old child. She was brought to the hospital on April 27. She was shot and the bullet hit her brain. The brain was completely damaged. . She came to the hospital almost brain dead. So we talked to the family members."

he said, "After he became brain dead, our team of doctors along with his parents Sitting down and talking about organ donation. We advised the parents and asked if they would donate organs to save the lives of other children." 

The AIIMS doctor has praised Roli's parents for donating organs and saving five lives.

His liver, kidney, both cornea and heart valves are included for donation.

With this organ donation, Roli has become the youngest donor in the history of AIIMS Delhi.  

Dr. Gupta said, "We are grateful to the parents for taking this step despite not knowing much about organ donation. They understood the importance of saving lives."
