The US-based security and aerospace company, Lockheed Martin, has announced that it has received orders from several countries, including Albania, for the anti-tank missile launcher Javelin.

These weapons are being widely used by Ukrainian soldiers in the fight against the Russian army.

In a press release, Lockheed Martin adds that it has received a $ 309 million order from the Pentagon to produce more than 1,300 anti-tank weapons with funding provided by a recent U.S. military aid law to Ukraine, but also orders from several countries. such as Albania, Norway, Latvia and Thailand.

"Javelin Joint Venture is working hard to meet this growing demand," said Dave Pantano, vice president of Javelin Joint Venture and Lockheed's program director Martin Javelin.

"Javelin's unique capabilities have proven to make a difference in the defining moments of our users, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the Army to deliver this critical weapons system," Pontano added.

These rocket launchers are carried on the shoulders by soldiers and weigh about 200 kg.

According to Lockheed Martin, they are a radius that reaches up to 4 miles.

These weapons have become a crucial part of the war in Ukraine, widely used by local troops to repel the attack of the Russian army in some regions, destroying tanks of enemy forces.

So far, Ukraine has received more than 5,500 such rocket launchers, and allied countries have pledged to send even more.
