The European Union's plan to phase out Russia's energy resources envisages gas imports from other countries, as well as an increase in the share of renewable energy.

APA-Economics reports quoting Russian media that the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen said this.

According to him, the EU wants to increase the share of renewable energy to 45% by 2030.

At the same time, it is planned to reduce total energy consumption by 13%.

Ursula von der Leyen noted that within a year (from April 2021 to April 2022), the European Union managed to reduce the consumption of Russian gas from 40% to 26%.
