The final anti-inflation measures that we will implement are focused on the three main factors that increase inflation, namely the high prices of electricity, gas and fuels.

Venko Sabrutev ("We continue the Change"), Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finance from "We Continue the Change" commented to journalists in the National Assembly.

Earlier today, the anti-inflationary measures of the government were announced in the Council of Ministers, which were agreed during the coalition leader's council, held under Prime Minister Kiril Petkov.

The cabinet announced an unprecedented package of measures to help Bulgarian citizens

Sabrutev commented that measures are being proposed to increase the incomes of the most affected people, namely the people with the lowest incomes - pensioners, as well as families with children.

The measures were formed by the coalition - each party in the coalition had the opportunity to present their views, which were discussed by a coalition council and final decisions were made, the MP added.

Regarding the measure on high fuel prices, Sabrutev clarified that the limit will be 50 liters per refueling, not per month, and will take effect on July 1st.

According to him, the money for recalculation of pensions will come from a large overfulfillment of the revenue part of the budget.

In addition, this measure, which we decided to implement for the excessive profits of electricity producers and traders, will bring additional revenue, which will actually cover all these additional costs of about two billion levs, he commented.

Sabrutev also said that work has begun on updating the budget, which is scheduled for mid-year.
