The Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Commission (KRRE) Marko Bislimovski announces that in Northern Macedonia there are about 660,000 households, while the average electricity consumption is 416 kilowatt hours per month.

"Compared to other European countries, our country is one of the largest monthly average consumers.

It is about 2,500 denars and 3,000 denars.

If compared to Norway, consumption there is higher, but the country has a large number of hydropower plants.

The point is to send a signal as an energy-poor country not to live in illusions that we have everything.

"To pay attention to electricity consumption", said Bislimovski for "24 Analiza".

He said that with the changes in the tariff system, we want to send a signal to households that electricity should be saved.

"Coal has helped us a lot in the last 40 years and we have had it as a source, but reserves are dwindling.

We must use it, but we must give a signal for rational spending ", said the president of KRRE Marko Bislimovski about the tariffs foreseen for the price of electricity.

He says the contours of the new changes are already being seen.

"We will have three or four blocks, where the last block will have a price close to the market price of electricity.

The public will be informed about the tariff changes, so as not to be deceived.

"We have to send a signal to consumers," he added.
