The holy relics of the co-apostolic brothers Cyril and Methodius are arriving in Sofia for national worship, the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church announced.
They will be exhibited in the church "St. Nedelya" from 23 to 25 May.

The holy relics of the Bulgarian educators will be brought to Bulgaria by His Excellency Archimandrite Bartholomew, abbot of the Mount Athos monastery Esfigmen.
The shrine is kept in the Holy Monastery of Esfigmen, in the seat of the monastery - the capital of the monastic republic, Kareia.
The program includes welcoming, worship, worship of the holy co-apostles and sending the shrine, according to the Holy Synod.
May 23 - Monday
12:00 - Welcoming of the holy relics at the crossroads of Hristo Botev Blvd. and Alexander Stamboliyski Blvd.
12:20 - Welcoming of the holy relics in the Metropolitan Cathedral "Holy Sunday";
12:30 - Prayer before the holy relics;
13:00 - National worship of the saints;
17:00 - Solemn hierarch's supper with five loaves of bread in memory of the holy co-apostolic brothers Methodius and Cyril;
18:00 - 23:00 - Public worship.

May 24 - Tuesday
09:00 - Hierarch's Holy Liturgy in honor of the holy co-apostolic brothers Methodius and Cyril;
08:00 - 18:00 - National worship of the saints;
17:00 - Vespers in the Metropolitan Cathedral "St.
Sunday ";
18:00 - Oil for the health and blessing of the faithful before the holy relics;
19:30 - 23:00 - Public worship.

May 25 - Wednesday
09:00 - Hierarch's Holy Liturgy in the Metropolitan Cathedral "St.
Sunday ";
12:00 - Sending the holy relics to Mount Athos.
In connection with the event, the movement in the center of Sofia during the reception, the procession and the sending of the relics of the holy brothers is expected to be difficult.
