Bangalore:

Television's rising Kannada actress Chetna Raj died after undergoing plastic surgery at a city hospital.

Police said on Tuesday that the victim's family has alleged medical negligence over a 'fat-free' surgical procedure at a cosmetic centre.

Chetna Raj (21) made her mark with roles in serials like 'Doresani' and 'Geeta'.

He was admitted to Dr. Shetty Cosmetic Center on Monday for plastic surgery.

According to the police, things got worse during the operation followed by anesthesia during the 'fat-free' surgery at the hospital.

As the actress suffered a heart attack, anesthetist Dr. Melvin rushed her to Kade Hospital.

According to the complaint lodged by Dr. Sandeep V of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Kade Hospital, Dr. Melvin rushed the actress to the hospital and 'warned' everyone to be treated as per her instructions.

Dr. Sandeep also said that the victim's pulse was not running and she was tried to give CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) for 45 minutes, but there was no response.

Dr. Sandeep suspected that Chetna had been brought dead.

Dr. Sandeep has said in his complaint, "We strongly oppose such behavior of these doctors and if necessary we can decide to file a report against them.

This incident does not seem to be normal." Despite several calls and messages, there was no response from Dr. Shetty Cosmetic Center.

Chetna's father K Varadraj said that the hospital authorities told him that his daughter died of a heart attack.

He has lodged a complaint with Basaveshwar Nagar police station alleging medical negligence.

A television actor who has worked with Chetna said on condition of anonymity that Chetna was a promising and ambitious actress who wanted to achieve success quickly.
