Hindu Sena's national president Vishnu Gupta has filed this application in the Supreme Court.

New Delhi:

Now the Hindu army has also reached the Supreme Court in the survey case in Gyanvapi Masjid.

While filing the application, the Hindu Sena has demanded that the petition of the Masjid Committee in the Gyanvapi case be dismissed with fine and made a party in the case.

Hindu Sena's national president Vishnu Gupta has filed this application in the Supreme Court.

The application states that the temple is mentioned in the Puranas including the Kashi Khand (section) of the Skanda Purana.

The original Vishwanath temple was destroyed by the army of Qutb al-Din Aibak in 1194, when he defeated the king of Kanauj as commander of Muhammad Ghori.

Later the Razia Masjid was built in its place.

A few years later in 1230, the temple was rebuilt by a Gujarati merchant during the reign of Sultan Iltutmish (1211–1266) of Delhi.

He further said that it was demolished again during the rule of Hussain Shah Sharqi (1447–1458) or Sikandar Lodhi (1489–1517).

Thereafter, Raja Man Singh built the temple during the rule of the Mughal Emperor Akbar.

Raja Todar Mal rebuilt the temple in its original place in 1585.

During the rule of Jahangir, Vir Singh Deo either renovated or completed the construction of the old temple.

In 1669, Emperor Aurangzeb destroyed the temple and its lingam and built the Gyanvapi Mosque in its place.

The application states that it was mentioned in the book Masir-e-Alamgiri written by Saki Mustad Khan that the grand structure of the temple was destroyed by cannons.

Remnants of the earlier temple can be seen in the foundations, pillars and at the rear of the mosque.

We have full right to worship under Article 25 of the Constitution of India.

So let us be allowed to assist the court.

Provocations are coming all around and if some counter-statement is made, it is being projected as if Hindus are against other religions.

There is a ploy by the forces behind it to project Hindus as opponents of other religions.

The petition of the Masjid Committee deserves to be dismissed with exemplary cost.
