The European Union has abolished the mandatory wearing of masks at airports and in flight.

According to Patrick Kai, executive director of the Aviation Safety Agency, this is a big step towards normalizing air travel for both passengers and crews.

However, individual airlines have the right to impose measures on board their aircraft.

It is also recommended that distance compliance be avoided at airports in Europe if this delays inspections.
