Devendra Fadnavis lashed out at Asaduddin Owaisi

Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis yesterday compared the Maha Vikas Aghadi government to a Babri-like structure.

He said that he will not rest until he knocks it down.

Fadnavis said, "I will not rest until I demolish the Babri-like structure of your power."

Devendra Fadnavis chants Hanuman Chalisa along with other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers at the party's Mahasankalp Sabha in Mumbai.

During this, Fadnavis said that "We only chanted Hanuman Chalisa, would Balasaheb Thackeray ever think that reading Hanuman Chalisa during his son's reign would be treason and visiting Aurangzeb's grave is a state etiquette?"

Describing Uddhav Thackeray's rally as a "laughter show", Fadnavis said, "Shiv Sena had held a rally yesterday, which they called a master gathering, but when we were listening to them, it was like a laughter gathering. ..Yesterday was Kaurava Sabha and today it is Pandava Sabha.",

Hitting out at AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Fadnavis said, "Owaisi pays tribute to Aurangzeb at his grave and you keep seeing this, you should be ashamed of it. Listen, even a dog will not urinate on Aurangzeb's identity. Hindustan Only saffron will rule in me.

The controversy over Hanuman Chalisa and Ajan has heated up the political atmosphere in the state.Recently, Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana were arrested by the Mumbai Police and a case was registered against them.

In fact, the Rana couple had announced that they would recite Hanuman Chalisa outside Uddhav Thackeray's house in Bandra.

After the Hanuman Chalisa controversy, the BJP has come out in support of the Rana couple.

The loudspeaker controversy started when on April 12, MNS chief Raj Thackeray gave an ultimatum to the Maharashtra government to remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 3, failing which, he warned that MNS workers would play Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers.
