The Republic of Korea wants to hold talks to help North Korea fight the coronavirus.

APA reports that Yonhap news agency reported this citing government sources.

The source said that Seoul is exploring the possibility of talks with Pyongyang.

A bilateral meeting is also possible during the week.

Earlier, the Republic of Korea offered Pyongyang vaccines and medical equipment.

Last year, Pyongyang refused a free vaccine from the WHO's Covax program.
