It is being ensured that only registered devotees are allowed for the Char Dham Yatra.

Char Dham Yatra 2022: In view of the increasing crowd of devotees in Uttarakhand for Char Dham Yatra, check posts in Dehradun, Mussoorie and Rishikesh were activated on Saturday and it is being ensured that for Char Dham Yatra. Only registered devotees should be allowed.

Dehradun District Magistrate R Rajesh Kumar said, "This has been done to ensure that the number of pilgrims does not exceed the number prescribed for the temples."

He said that the pilgrims would be stopped at the check-posts and they would not be allowed to proceed without mandatory registration and showing the travel card.

He said that the date and time of visiting the temple will be clearly mentioned in the travel card.

The official said that due to lack of information, arrangements are being made to register those who have come without registration.

This time the Uttarakhand government has set a time limit of 45 days.

During this, 15 thousand people are allowed for Badrinath and 12 thousand people for Kedarnath, while 7 thousand for Gangotri and 4 thousand for Yamunotri have been fixed.
