New Delhi:

At least 27 people were killed when a fire broke out in a four-storey building located near Mundka metro station in the western part of the national capital.

While 12 others got burnt.

Police sources said that the fire started from the first floor of the building, many similar incidents have happened in the capital in the past as well.

In which many people lost their lives.

Hotel Arpit Palace fire in Karolbagh

In the year 2019, a dangerous fire broke out at Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh, Delhi.

The death of 17 people was confirmed in this incident.

When people were sleeping in the hotel, the fire started due to short circuit and kept on spreading.

Initially, the fire was on the second floor, but after that the fire spread to the third and fourth floors as well.

The initial investigation revealed the negligence of the hotel.

Fire incident in Bawana cracker factory

A fire broke out in a firecracker factory in Bawana on 20 January 2018.

In which 17 people died.

The Delhi High Court had directed a factory owner engaged in manufacturing of firecrackers to deposit Rs 34 lakh with the authorities as compensation to the families of persons who lost their lives in a fire at the establishment in Bawana here in 2018. .

Nandnagri fire accident

In the year 2011, on November 20, 14 people died in a fire during a program in Nand Nagri area.

A program was going on when the fire broke out here.

Many people died in the incident while many people were seriously injured.  

Uphaar cinema fire

A fire broke out during the show of the film Border on 13 June 1997 at Uphaar Cinema, Green Park, South Delhi.

59 people died in this incident.

At the same time, hundreds of people were seriously injured in the accident.

This fire had shocked everyone.

Later investigation revealed that proper security arrangements were not made in the cinema hall.

Because of which this accident happened.
