The absence of high-level meetings of Prime Minister Albin Kurti during his visit to the United States so far is being considered as a cooling of the US administration's relations with the Kosovo government.

Those familiar with political developments cite several reasons for this, but also say that it is a signal for the correction of Kurti's behavior.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj are currently staying in America.

But in terms of the level of meetings, the latter, has arrived to meet senior officials of the US administration.

Publicist Shkëlzen Maliqi mentions one of the reasons that, according to him, may have influenced the relations between Prime Minister Kurti and the United States.

"Kurti did not fulfill a promise in Brussels when they had a dialogue with Serbia and this may have caused me to ignore Kurti, because even when the President was in America there were no high-level meetings and this shows that there are "a cooling of the American administration towards the prime minister and this is not good", said Shkelzen Maliqi, publicist.

According to Maliqi, Kosovo since the 90's has not taken a single step without agreement with America, but since Kurti came to power it seems that the approach has changed.

"For a year now, he has been hesitant about dialogue with the United States on the agenda, which is now urgent.

After the global crisis, after the Ukraine war, there must be coordination with the White House.

"We have made progress since the 1990s as we have always coordinated with the White House, and now we have a cooling off and it needs to be coordinated with them," he added.

Even sociologist Artan Muhaxhiri, considers that there is a kind of boycott, as he says, easy of the current US administration to Prime Minister Kurti, which according to him, should be a signal to the chief executive.

"Kosovo's position depends on relations with America.

It is not understandable why Kurti did this knowing the great pressure he has for a breakdown of relations between Kosovo and America.

The US is superpower and relations with other countries are as simple as that.

Kurti did not have father-level relations as other prime ministers have had.

"Haradinaj's meeting with senior officials is a signal for Kurti to correct his behavior," Muhaxhiri said.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has been paying a visit to the United States of America since last Friday.

During his one-week stay there, his most important meeting is a meeting with the MCC CEO, followed by visits to information technology companies.

While Haradinaj, so far at the State Department has been received in a meeting by the US Ambassador to the Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
