About 4.8 million Ukrainians have lost their jobs since the Russian occupation of Ukraine.

APA reports quoting CNN that the statement came from the UN International Labor Organization.

It was noted that if the fighting escalates, the number of unemployed will reach 7 million.

If the fighting stops immediately, 3.4 million Ukrainians will be able to return to work.

Of the 4.8 million Ukrainians who lost their jobs, 1.2 million became refugees and fled to neighboring countries.

The remaining 3.6 million unemployed are currently in Ukraine.
