The reason is the transfer of the territory where one of the compressor stations is located, under the control of Luhansk separatists.

Gazprom has been asked to redirect the transit flow.

The Ukrainian side blamed Russia for stopping the transit.

It is claimed that the operator cannot carry out operational control over the Novopskov compressor station.

According to the AGTS, Russia's interference in technological processes and unauthorized gas withdrawal "endangered the stability and safety of the entire Ukrainian gas transportation system."

AGTS of Ukraine also announced the cessation of gas transit through the Sakhranovka gas distribution station in Luhansk region on Wednesday.

For gas supplies to Europe, it is possible to temporarily transfer "inaccessible capacity" from "Sakhranovka" to the point of connection "Sudzha", which is located in the territory controlled by Ukrainian troops, the operator said.

The AGTS also noted that the company had repeatedly warned Gazprom to suspend transit due to the military operation and demanded an end to interference in the operation of the facilities, but these demands were ignored.

On May 10, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Luhansk separatists and the Russian army had managed to break through the Ukrainian army's defenses in the town of Papasnaya in the Luhansk region (Moscow and the separatists consider it the territory of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic).

Kyiv did not comment.
