UGC approves extension of six months for submission of research papers of MPhil/PhD

In view of the loss of time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the

University

Grants Commission has issued a research paper (MPhil/PhD) of MPhil/PhD to higher educational institutions after reviewing the work of the students. thesis) has been approved to extend the period of submission for six months with effect from June 30.

M Jagadesh Kumar gave this information.

Kumar tweeted, "In view of the loss of time during the Kovid period, the UGC has approved the research paper for MPhil/PhD case by case after reviewing the work of Higher Educational Institution (HEI) students." The period for submission of (thesis) can be extended by six months from June 30.

In this regard, in the meeting held on May 6, 2022, the UGC approved a proposal.

Under this, a student can be given six months after June 30 to submit a research paper (thesis) for MPhil / PhD.

This will be based on the review of the work of the students by the Research Advisory Committee and on the recommendation of the Head of the Department and the Inspector in each case.
