Former KLA fighter, Xhevdet Qeriqi, now chairman of the Council for the Protection of the Rights of KLA Veterans, says that in Semetisht and Budakovo, which are mentioned as suspected locations by the Special Forces, the indictment against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi did not stay with the KLA leaders.

Qeriqi in "Debat Plus" with Ermal Panduri on RTV Dukagjini, says that apart from local commanders, KLA leaders who are being tried in The Hague have never been seen in the places mentioned by the Special Court.

"I acted at one time in the part of Shtime.

For a while, at the beginning of the war, we all controlled the Prishtina-Shtime-Prizren highway.

During this time I have not been the ones being tried but I have not met any senior KLA superiors in that area.

I met all of them after the war.

"Even though it was the safest area to cross into the Nerodime Zone, not only me, but no soldier who patrolled with shifts went to see those who are being tried in that area", he said, Telegrafi reports.

He says he is convinced that for these points of the indictment, those who are being tried in The Hague will be acquitted.

Even Safet Syla, a former colonel, has said that despite his presence in the countries where these crimes are alleged to have been committed, he has not heard anything about the allegations.

"I was surprised by these two new indictments," he said.

In the annexes to the indictment, without mentioning names, it is stated that KLA members caused physical and mental injuries to the victims.

None of the accused of the Special Court has pleaded guilty, all, without exception, have pleaded not guilty before the

trial
