The Prime Minister's first talks today also focused on the actions of the Bulgarian government to ensure Bulgaria's energy independence and diversification.

The Prime Minister stressed the efforts of the Cabinet to find long-term solutions for our country, which would provide security and stability, after the unilateral cessation of gas supplies by Gazprom.

Petkov stressed the potential opportunities in this direction and the importance of international cooperation, especially with the United States, on energy issues.

The American side also welcomed Bulgaria's support for Ukraine.
