“Some units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to carry out tasks to cover the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Gomel regions.

The threat of missile and bomb strikes on the infrastructure of our state from the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains, ”the statement reads.



According to the Ukrainian General Staff, up to eight Russian Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems and up to six Russian aircraft of various modifications remain in Belarus.



The Pentagon said on May 5 that it saw no signs that Belarus intended to take an active part in the war in Ukraine.
