The aggression in Ukraine is costing Russia dearly, as Ukrainian forces have caused significant damage to Russian military forces and their equipment, according to the UK Ministry of Defense.

Overnight, the daily report of the Ministry of Defense - posted on Twitter - said that at least one of the "most advanced" tanks of Russia, T-90M, was destroyed during the fighting, reports Telegrafi.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense said that "it will take considerable time and money for Russia to rebuild its armed forces after this conflict."

The report added: "It will be particularly challenging to replace modernized and advanced equipment due to sanctions" which prevent access to essential microelectronics.

The T-90M, which comes with improved armor designed to counter anti-tank armament, is one of 100 such tanks deployed by Russia's best-equipped forces.

But the tank "remains vulnerable if not supported by other elements of the force," said the Ministry of Defense.
