Austria does not plan to pay in Russian rubles for gas.

The statement came from Austrian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Alexander Challenberger, PA TASS reports.

"Our position is clear.

We are committed to existing agreements with Russia.

But we do not intend to pay in rubles, "the minister said.

According to Schallenberg, the oil embargo will affect countries in different ways.

Because not all of them are equally dependent on Russian oil.

At the same time, Schallenberg said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had achieved the opposite result with his decisions.

The Minister believes that the events have brought NATO member countries closer together.
