US President Joe Biden has visited a factory in Alabama, where weapons maker Lockheed Martin manufactures anti-tank missiles Javelin, which are among the weapons the Americans are sending to Ukraine as it tries to soften the Russian occupation of its neighbor its south.

He began by praising the "rapid pace" of US military equipment and aid to the Ukrainians since Russia launched the war on February 24.

"We have made sure that there is no interruption in the flow of equipment to Ukraine," Biden said.

"Quite frankly, they're making fools of the Russian military in many instances," Pres.

"Since Russia invaded Ukraine more than two months ago, we have sent more than $ 3 billion in security aid to Ukraine, not just us, not counting our allies.

"And that money is a direct investment to protect freedom and democracy itself."

Biden then added "because if you do not resist dictators, history has shown us, they keep coming, they keep coming.

"Their appetite for power continues to grow."

He then praised the factory workers, saying they should be proud because every missile produced by them is being used by the Ukrainian army to stop Russian progress.

Otherwise, Biden is pressuring the US Congress to pass a new spending bill that envisions $ 33 billion more in military, economic and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

"You're making it possible for the Ukrainian people to defend themselves, without us having to risk getting into a third world war by sending American soldiers."
