Koprivshtitsa celebrates 146 years since the April Uprising with a ceremonial fireworks display.

Before dawn, the reconstruction of the "First Rifle" was made, in which over 200 people took part, BTV reported.

The people of Koprivshtitsa observed the tradition this year as well and with devotion worship the feat of the revolutionaries who took the first steps towards the Freedom of Bulgaria.

The culmination of the celebrations is on Sunday, but the city is already filled with guests from all over the country.

In Koprivshtitsa every house keeps history.

Each family is a memory of a revolutionary.
