Russia is forced to relocate its forces to northeastern Ukraine after their unsuccessful offensive in the region, according to an assessment by the British Ministry of Defense, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

Russia still faces significant challenges and "has been forced to group and relocate the scattered parts of the failed offensive in northeastern Ukraine."

Many servicemen "probably suffer from a decline in morale," according to the military's analysis. 

Russia hopes to "solve the problems that have hitherto hampered its invasion by geographically concentrating its fighting forces, shortening supply lines and simplifying command and control."

Despite improvements in some places, "the lack of skills among combat units and constant air support have prevented Russia from taking full advantage of its military weight," added British intelligence.
