On November 5 last year, the government limited the cost of rapid antigen tests to 7 euros and tests that people use at home to 2.50 euros without VAT.

The regulation on the maximum prices of antigenic covid tests was due to expire on May 4, but has now been extended until June 30, according to a decision made by the government this week, the government's press service said.

The Ministry of Health noted that in accordance with current measures and rules, the covid certificate remains in force in some institutions, such as hospitals and nursing homes, and rapid tests are still used to detect coronavirus infections.

For these reasons, the government has decided to extend the price limit for rapid covid tests, adds BTA.
