The Spanish Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the ship has arrived in Poland.

The Spanish newspaper Pais reported, citing Polish port authorities, that the vessel had docked at the port of Gdynia, where the military equipment would be unloaded and transported to a logistics base in Ukraine, about 700km away.

The shipment includes 30 trucks, several special heavy-duty vehicles and about 10 smaller vehicles that will be used to transport military cargo to Ukraine, the Spanish prime minister explained.

Last week, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced the shipment during a visit to Kyiv, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The military equipment reached Poland with the Spanish ship Isabel, which is 149 meters long.

"This is the largest shipment so far, it is more than twice our previous military deliveries," Sanchez explained.

Earlier, Spain sent 1,370 anti-tank grenade launchers, 700,000 machine gun cartridges, as well as an armored ambulance and medical supplies to Ukraine.
