On April 28, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hussein Amir-Abdullahian.

The Foreign Ministry's Press Service told APA that the ministers exchanged views on topical issues of the bilateral cooperation agenda.

The sides praised economic, trade, transport, humanitarian and other cooperation between the two countries, as well as high-level reciprocal visits.

The activities of the Iran-Azerbaijan State Commission for Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Cooperation and the implementation of the agreements reached were noted with satisfaction.

The parties also discussed regional issues of mutual interest, cooperation within multilateral platforms and international organizations.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdullahian has invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to visit Iran.
