The Assembly of Kosovo is debating the establishment of an Energy Commission of Inquiry.

The MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Ferat Shala, asked for the formation of the Commission of Inquiry, while saying that this is the right of the opposition.

"Vetëm Denial of the constitutional rights of 40 signatories is needed only by those who want to sabotage the truth," said Shala, among others.

He said it is an obligation to have transparency in this matter.

"This social, political, and economic challenge requires professional management teams and unfortunately we do not have these… we have politicized individuals and groups that manage the sector," he said.

"… We expect the citizens to know the truth about the energy crisis in the country.

I invite you for the good of the state to form today the investigative commission and to conclude this long-lasting and unnecessary debate that is holding us hostage ", said Shala.

Meanwhile, the head of the parliamentary group of Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari Lila said that LVV several times clearly shows that it supports the Commission of Inquiry for energy or any topic proposed by the opposition, reports Telegrafi.

She stressed that she agrees with every claim of the opposition, however, according to her, in the interest of transparency, the scope of the Commission of Inquiry should be expanded, including the inherited energy problems.

According to her, with a procedural motion a joint commission can be formed with demands of the position and the opposition.

"If you are interested in a procedural motion, we include a common one, with all your claims as opposition, add here our demands," she said.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), during the session of the Assembly of Kosovo said that they will not merge the request of 40 deputies coming from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, at the request of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV).

Gashi said that it has never happened that the object, duration, investigation and scope of action of the request of 40 deputies is changed.

According to him, if this happens then the country, as he said, "we have an overthrow of the system of democratic values."

"Kosovo has formed several parliamentary commissions of inquiry.

Never in all these investigative commissions has a majority changed the object, the duration of the investigation and the scope of action.

And what is happening today?

Kusari comes out and says that we have proposed another commission, and you have to dissolve that commission, and this will not happen.

Abelard Tahiri's request must be formed, the request of 40 deputies can not be changed.

We have never practiced with change.

The government tries to stifle such a parliamentary demand with its actions and inactions.

And I say yes let's investigate the past years, and vote for such a commission, but let it be another special commission.

And this is required according to the field should be voted and not changed.

If this happens then we have the overthrow of the system of democratic values.

Today we will collide and we will collide badly.

I propose the chairman of this commission, Driton Selmanaj, who is not a signatory of this commission, which is the initiative of the head of the PDK WG, Abelard Tahiri ", said Gashi.

Even the MP of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Time Kadriaj said that they support the request of MP Abelard Tahiri for the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry.

According to her, the establishment of this commission should be allowed and as she requested from the President of the Assembly of Kosovo, to ask the parliamentary groups to give their names for the formation of this commission.

"40 deputies have signed the formation of this Commission of Inquiry, and there is nothing that can stop this commission.

I do not even know what you want to hide from me.

And we, like other opposition parties, will support it, as the Commission of Inquiry has never been rejected in the history of the country.

And with that you are trying to capture the state.

You, the Speaker, have been an MP yourself and you should insist that all parliamentary groups give their names to this commission.

As AAK we support this Commission of Inquiry.

We propose Pal Lekaj to be in this group and the Commission of Inquiry ", said Kadrijaj.
