Chef Kunal has shared the recipe of making ice cream soda along with khus sharbat on his Instagram page.

  • Preparation time - 5 minutes

  • Cooking Time - 30 Minutes

Material

  • For khus syrup-

  • Poppy seeds (root) - 70 grams

  • Water - 1.3 liters/5½ cup

  • Sugar - 600 grams

  • Green color - few drops

For khus sherbet (1 part)

  • ice cubes - a few

  • cold water - 300 ml

  • Sabja soaked - 2 tbsp


Khus Ice Cream Soda (1 part)

  • Vanilla ice cream - 1 scoop

  • Khus syrup - 3 tbsp

  • Sabja - 1 tbsp

  • cold soda water - 250 ml

Method of making khus syrup and ice cream soda-


To make khus ka syrup, first clean the root of the khus well.

Now offer this poppy root with water in a pan on the gas.

Add sugar to it also.

Now keep stirring it occasionally to make its syrup.

Check the syrup after about 10-15 minutes.

When sugar syrup is ready, then turn off the gas and filter the syrup.

Now put ice in a glass.

Pour poppy syrup on it, pour sabja seeds on top.

Khus syrup is ready.



For ice cream soda, first put a scoop ice cream in a glass.

Pour poppy syrup on it and also put sabja seeds.

Pour soda over it.

Ice cream soda is ready.
