Washington:

America has again commented on India-Russia relations.

US Defense Ministry Pentagon has again said that America does not want India to depend on Russia for defense needs.

US defense establishment Pentagon on Friday said Washington discourages India's dependence on Russia for defense needs.

Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters here, "We are very clear about other countries, including India.

We do not want these countries to depend on Russia for defense needs.

We sincerely oppose it.'

The press secretary said that along with this, America attaches importance to defense partnership with India.

He said that we are looking for ways to move forward together.

"India is a security provider to the region and we value this," Kirby said.

In the midst of the Ukraine-Russia war, such remarks have come from the US in the past as well.

While America, Britain and many European countries are imposing sanctions against Russia for this war, India has adopted a neutral stand on it.
