Spain has sent an additional 200 tons of military equipment to Ukraine, including heavy transport vehicles and ammunition, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said today during a visit to Kiev.

Speaking at a joint news conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Sanchez said: "This is the largest shipment ever made, more than double what we have sent."

A Spanish navy ship loaded with equipment departed from a Spanish port for Poland, from where the cargo will be transported to Ukraine, he said.

Ejecutivo's boss, @sanchezcastejon, is in Kyiv to bring solidarity to Ukraine and compromise in Spanish.

The ship carries 30 trucks, some special heavy transport vehicles and 10 small vehicles loaded with military material that will be transferred to Ukraine.

Sanchez also said Spain would ask the International Court of Justice to investigate alleged Russian war crimes in Ukraine and that it plans to send war crimes investigators.

During the same conference, Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen said her country would increase its arms contribution to Ukraine by 75m euros.
