Smokers are more often victims of lung cancer
Because of their bad habits, they need to pay more attention to their health and there are some foods that can help in 'clearing the lungs' and that have a beneficial effect on this important organ.
Research shows that cancer is most often preceded by a series of previous infections, chronic bronchitis and, of course, the long-term satisfaction of an unhealthy cigarette smoking habit.
Experts have singled out these 10 foods that have a beneficial effect on the lungs and in a way 'cleanse' them:
1. Citrus
Consuming one to four citrus fruits a week reduces the chance of respiratory cancer.
2. Brazilian nuts
Brazil nuts are rich in selenium and vitamin E and reduce the risk of lung cancer.
3. Onions
The antioxidants present in onions cleanse the lungs of toxins caused by smoking.
4. Water
Drink eight glasses of water a day.
5. Carrot juice
Drink 300 ml of carrot juice in the morning.
This juice helps alkalize the body.

7. Herbal tea
