Covid situation today, April 16, 65, with new cases less than 20,000, deaths soared to 125, recovering 2.21 lakh, 867 still need ventilators, while ATK test results are less than 9,000.

At 11:30 a.m. on April 16, 2022, the Center for the Epidemic of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) or Prof. and the Ministry of Public Health.

The situation report of COVID-19 in Thailand is as follows:

  • 18,799 infected in the country

  • 11 infected in prisons/detention centers

  • 82 infected from abroad

  • 22,220 more healed

  • 3,763,978 cumulative recoveries (since 2020)

  • 221,452 are being treated, including 59,899 in hospitals, 161,553 in field hospitals and others, of which 2,062 are in severe condition (pneumonia), 867 are required to be on a ventilator.

  • Level 2-3 bed occupancy rate is 26.7%.

  • 119 new deaths, cumulative death toll 26,629 (since 2020)

  • The cumulative total of confirmed cases since 2020 is 4,012,184, counting as 3,993,293 - 4,012,184 cases.



For 18,892 new infected people, they are divided as follows:

  • 18,759 new cases from surveillance and service systems

  • Proactively search for 40 infected people in the community.

  • Prisons/prisoners 11

  • 82 foreign visitors



The five provinces with the most cases today are Bangkok 3,015, followed by Chonburi 765, Samut Prakan 645, Nakhon Ratchasima 632 and Samut Sakhon 546.

The provinces with the highest number of pneumonia cases being hospitalized were Bangkok 204 cases, Samut Prakan 101 cases, Nakhon Ratchasima 78 cases, Chonburi 73 cases and Buriram 70 cases.

For the total ATK examination reported as of April 16, 2022 at 07.36 am, according to the Ministry of Public Health's data.

Another 8,858 positive cases of ATK or ATK were found, while the cumulative total of 1,367,964 was not included in the reported number of new cases confirmed by RT-PCR.
