The Bishop of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji stated that it is painful to see how people in our country today live with the darkness of fear, insecurity of life and hopelessness, and that only the risen Christ can get us out of this, as he teaches us that we do not covet the unnecessary, give up the useless and do not take what does not belong to us.

Bishop Dodë Gjergji led the solemn Easter Mass, which was held at the Cathedral of "St. Mother Teresa", in Prishtina.

The Mass began with the symbolism of fire symbolizing the warmth of divine love for the world and for all its creatures, and continued with some readings on the life, sins, and works of God.

Monsignor Gjergji said that through this symbolism the church wants to invite all people to unite around the fire of divine love and to warm their hearts, as we all need and right to unite around this love.

He said that in our country and in our day there are many people living in the darkness of fear, insecurity and hopelessness.

"It is painful to see that in the hearts and minds of many of our people the light of hope has faded and there are many who do not believe at all that they can build a future for themselves, their families and for our country in general. .

People today live in fear, parents fear that their children will not have a good future, will not have a proper education and will not have the opportunity to provide the things they need, and children have begun to feel it. the fear that they will share their heart because their parents will divorce.

Young people are afraid that they will not be able to carry the burden and sacrifice of life and its responsibilities, for those in a pragmatic logic postpone marriage, but later if they are not afraid that they have not yet matured.

If they get married, they are afraid to have children,

"Even the elderly do not lack fear because in the hearts of many elders there is a fear of lack of love for their children or that they will be left alone in old age.

Only the risen Christ can bring us out of the darkness of our fears, out of the uncertainty of life and hopelessness, as it inspires us to embrace sacrifice, assures us that we will have the reward, and teaches us not to covet the unnecessary, to give up. "it is useless not to take what does not belong to us," he said.

Until he invited everyone to accept Christ.

"Christ is risen and we invite all people to believe and not be afraid to accept Christ because by accepting Christ, they become sons of the stars and live and have the opportunity to live through this world with suffering, hoping for eternal joy," he said. ai.
