The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has accused the Special Prosecution of Kosovo of manipulating and propagating the expertise of the Swiss Institute in the case of Astrit Dehari.

According to the MoJ, only two of the report's conclusions have been published by the Special Prosecution, out of a total of five.

For its part, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK), says that they have not commented on the report but only published the conclusions of the expertise report of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Lausanne, Switzerland, regarding the case of Astrit Dehari.

Lawyer Skender Musa says on RTV Dukagjini that these clashes are disappointing because according to him the competencies between these institutions are divided.

"The Ministry of Justice has no competence in the field of investigation of various criminal cases, while the Special Prosecution is obliged to take evidence and review it as professionals, whether that evidence is in favor or disadvantage of a different criminal case. ", He said, Telegrafi reports.

Musa says that the Dehari issue is very sensitive and according to him it is not good to mix politics.

"The Ministry of Justice is not a party in the process, while the injured party has its status based on the Criminal Code.

But, the Special Prosecution has the obligation to provide all the materials to the defense, even those that Mr. Tomë Gashi claims were damaged during the investigation ".

Musa says that the injured party if there are doubts about the process can request the change of the prosecutor, even though according to him a prosecutor has already been changed.

"The case was taken by the Special Prosecution, which is called the most advanced prosecutor in the Republic of Kosovo", said among others the lawyer Skender Musa.

Otherwise, today Lawyer Tomë Gashi together with Astrit Dehari's parents, before the Special Prosecution in Prishtina have stated that the additional expertise of the Swiss Institute for Astrit's death has confirmed that the evidence sent was manipulated and damaged.

"We are convinced that if the Special Prosecution of Kosovo had taken responsibility for the people who worked to solve the murder of Astrit Dehari, there would be people with names and surnames, who have been involved in any kind of work that they have done it within the institutions and not to send only this evidence, which in fact have been manipulated and turned into unusable evidence ", stated Gashi.

For its part, the Special Prosecution of Kosovo has denied that it has manipulated the evidence in the case of Astrit Dehari.

"The Special Prosecution assures the public that in no way has it manipulated evidence, but only presented the opinion and findings of experts from the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Lausanne in Switzerland.

Therefore, the tendentious and malicious claims of the Minister of Justice towards the Special Prosecution are unstable and aim at misinformation and manipulation of public opinion "./
