The latest cumulative update for Windows 11 has finally brought the long-awaited change.

The update now allows you to change the default browser on the operating system using the one-click method.

In this way, Microsoft has responded to the criticism of those who say that Windows is imposing on Microsoft Edge users.

The new cumulative update is marked KB5012592 and arrives on Windows 11 devices as part of the "April 2022 Patch Tuesday" cycle.

Interestingly, Microsoft does not mention specific improvements to browser selection in its latest update review.

Instead, he mentions that the security update includes enhancements that were part of a previous update KB5011563, which introduced a new option in Settings - changing the default web browser.
