"We call the West Dosvidos," said Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko

Alexander Lukashenko has been President of Belarus since 1994. Before joining, RIA Novosti reported.

The head of state in Minsk commented on the sanctions imposed on his country and Russia by the European Union, Britain, the United States and other countries over Moscow's aggression in Ukraine and Belarus' complicity in the attack.

"Because of these restrictions, we call the West 'Dosvidos' (a combination of the Russian and Spanish words for 'goodbye' and 'goodbye' and 'adiós')," Lukashenko said.

"We will continue to deepen cooperation between our two countries and build our future on our own," the Belarusian president added after three hours of talks with Vladimir Putin at the Vostochny spaceport in Russia's Far East.
