Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla has reacted to the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, for what she said the latter's non-transparency for a meeting with her Palestinian counterpart in the Antalya forum.

Haradinaj-Stublla wrote in a Facebook post that such non-transparency undermines Kosovo's new relationship with Israel and Kosovo's long-term interests in securing new recognitions in the Middle East.

"Kosovo, in addition to working hard to build official diplomatic relations with the State of Israel, has made great efforts to repel Serbia's illegal campaign to prevent and damage existing and potential recognitions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Here, for years now it has been known that much has been helped by the Palestinian Authority, taking advantage of their close historical ties with several Middle Eastern states.

"Let us not forget that this campaign took place before Kosovo established diplomatic relations with Israel and before deciding on the opening of the embassy in Jerusalem", wrote Haradinaj-Stublla.

She added that Kosovo has no moral responsibility towards Palestine, and that Minister Gërvalla should not have felt in debt by keeping her away from the public.

"The MFA must urgently clarify with a public statement in Albanian and English about the meeting, topics, and position of Kosovo about what the MFA stated by the Palestinian authorities after the meeting with Kosovo, to repair the damage already caused to the friendly state of Israel." , wrote Haradinaj-Stublla.

Kosovo has simply followed the diplomatic practice of setting up an embassy where the host country considers it the capital and administrative seat of the government.

As the sensitivity of this topic was high, we made sure that the object of our embassy was in the western part very close to the American embassy, ​​and not in the eastern part of the city which according to the 1993 Oslo Agreement belongs to Palestine.

The silence of our Minister rejected all this effort, giving the diplomatic field only to Palestine and Serbia to amplify the messages of their interest that contradicts the state interests of Kosovo and placing Kosovo automatically in a defensive and harmful position.
