Anti-mafia members detained a member of an international criminal group that creates and distributes materials with sexual violence against children, the Ministry of Interior reported. 

The specialized police operation was conducted on April 1 by officers of the Cybercrime Department of the CDCOC and their colleagues from the BOP sector in Varna, under the direction of the Varna District Prosecutor's Office.

A 46-year-old man has sexually blackmailed more than 20 children online

In the course of the action, a 54-year-old man was detained - a member of an internationally organized criminal group, creating and distributing on the global network materials

Physical evidence of his criminal activity was seized from the home of the man from Varna.

The detainee is to be charged with possession of and distributing pornographic materials for the creation of which children were used for up to 24 hours.

According to the data collected so far, the participants in the international criminal network have used a special encrypted P2P communication platform, with the help of which they exchanged child pornography files.

The purpose of this platform was to make it as difficult as possible for law enforcement authorities to prevent them from tracking down and identifying members of the criminal group.
