Today, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah bin Faisal Al Saud.

APA reports quoting the Foreign Ministry's press service that the ministers congratulated each other on the coming of the holy month of Ramadan and expressed their wishes that this month will be good for the entire Muslim world.

The sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation and fraternal relations between the two countries and expressed satisfaction with this.

The two countries agreed on joint projects, as well as expressed satisfaction with the results of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission held in December last year.

It was stressed that there is potential for further development of economic and investment ties.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the project of Saudi Arabia's Acwa Power to build a wind farm in Azerbaijan and briefed his counterpart on Azerbaijan's great potential in terms of alternative energy.

The parties also discussed issues of cooperation and mutual support within international organizations.


Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked Saudi Arabia for its support for Azerbaijan's just position on the past conflict, based on international law.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov invited his Saudi counterpart to visit Azerbaijan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah bin Faisal Al Saud, thanked for the invitation and said he accepted the invitation.

During the telephone conversation, the ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
