Nitish Kumar expressed his desire to go to Rajya Sabha in an informal conversation

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wishes that once he too should go to Rajya Sabha.

CM Nitish Kumar was talking informally to the journalists in his chamber in the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday.

Nitish said that till now he has not become a member of Rajya Sabha and in this conversation he also said that see when will get freedom from here.

When Nitish was asked that these days, which he is visiting in his old Lok Sabha constituency, whether he can once again be a candidate from Nalanda in the coming Lok Sabha elections, he said that there is no such thing and this tour will start from 2019. It was proposed, but in the last two years it was not possible due to Corona.

In this sequence, when he was asked whether he would go to the Rajya Sabha, he said that there is such a desire, but at present it is the responsibility of the reins here.

Nitish won twice for Bihar Legislative Assembly, first in 1985 and second time in 1995 and Lok Sabha from Barh parliamentary constituency in 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999 and Nalanda in 2004.

When the Chief Minister was elected in November 2005, he took the membership of the Legislative Council.

At the same time, Sushil Modi, who was with him as Deputy Chief Minister and now political opponent Lalu Yadav, have both been members of the Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.


Nitish has certainly fueled political speculation by doing his Mann Ki Baat, as it is believed that his dream of going to the Rajya Sabha can be fulfilled if the BJP offers to become the Vice-President.

Nitish also announced on Wednesday to campaign in favor of the BJP candidate in the by-election of Bochahan assembly.

For this, BJP leaders have duly invited him.
